Paw Pals’ Inaugural Pet Calendar
Sale Starts October 1st
Paw Pals’ inaugural Pet Calendar for 2010 has already drawn tremendous support
and we have announced that 100% of available sponsorship opportunities have been
filled. Many local businesses and
non-profit groups have stepped forward to work with Paw Pals on calendar sales. Our community is much appreciative to
the following businesses and groups who have joined to help sell the calendars
at $10 each starting Thursday, October 1st.
Hillsboro:
Antique Village,
Expressions Photography, Hillsboro
Veterinarian
Hospital, Tangles & Tanz, and Veranda’s; Hubbard: Hubbard Antique Mall;
Itasca: Janet’s Beauty
Barn; Osceola: Hair Cuts-Etc.;
Peoria:
Gwen & Bear’s Grooming & Boarding;
West: Mid-Tex Veterinarian Clinic;
and Whitney: Sim’s
Home
Center and Kitty’s Barbershop. Non-Profit Clubs joining the
marketing effort include: Whitney High School Paw Pals Club; Hillsboro Jr. High
School Wee-Paws Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (these clubs will
share $3 of the profits for each calendar sold).
Only a limited number of calendars will be available. Orders can be reserved today by
calling (254) 580-0679 or emailing
hcpawpals@yahoo.com . These will make a great Christmas
gift, so we are anticipating a significant response. All proceeds from the calendar will
benefit Paw Pals goals to establish an animal shelter for the county and
implement animal control for county residents.
We are most grateful to Amanda Bacon, proprietor of Expressions Photography (126
E. Elm St. Hillsboro, Texas),
who has voluntarily contributed hundreds of professional hours during the
project’s development.
Paw Pals will premiere the Pet Calendar at
6:30pm on Saturday, October 10th at Blues Skies Café at
Willie’s Place (Carl’s Corner) during Paw Pals’ Recognition Banquet. The premiere will entail a
sound-slide presentation of the thirteen professionally constructed family/pet
portraits. Limited seating will be
available for the banquet so please make your reservations soon by calling (254)
580-0679. Banquet cost will be approximately $9
per person (to cover the cost of the meal) and can be paid at the door.
