Our Community Thanks Maurices!
Maurices, the fashion retail store at Outlets at
Hillsboro, continues with their ongoing “Runways and
Rescue” campaign with donated pet food and supplies being continued to be
collected through September.
Already, some 400 pounds of dog and cat food has been collected from caring
citizens of
Hill
County.
Maurices’ campaign was highlighted last Saturday with a fashion show that
included a silent auction for Paw Pals.
Businesses that contributed valued items were: Dress Barn, Lane Bryant,
Vitamin World, Bass, Bonworth, Bath & Body, Samsonite, Carter, Nine West,
Children’s Place, Perfunmania, Walmart, and Brookshire’s.
The entire amount of proceeds from the
silent auction has been directed towards the animal shelter building fund and
one day the shelter will become a beacon for proactive animal control for
Hill
County.
Monica Clayton, maurices’ manager, and her associates Ashley Liscum, Sara
Roberts, Deanna Savala, and Audrey Willenborg are to be commended for organizing
this campaign that included the fashion show and silent auction. The most important contribution of
their labors is the maintained awareness towards the need to correct our
community’s pet overpopulation issue—thus making our county a better place to
live. We at Paw Pals are grateful for the
outstanding support that is being provided by maurices and appreciate this
business’ direct involvement with our community.
Please visit maurices and thank them for their genuine civic involvement.
