Hill County Paw Pals, Hill County, Texas

Paw Pals has the following Volunteer Opportunities

  1. Hill County Paw Pals is in the need for foster homes to care for pets until suitable homes can be found.  Foster homes need to meet the following requirements:
    •  Foster families will need appropriate fencing or kennels to contain the companion animals and will be required to sign a liability release statement.
    • The number of pets a foster family can foster will be limited according to their capability and space. In no case will a foster family exceed three companion animals at one time (this limit is set to avoid "hoarding").
    • All foster pets are property of the Hillsboro Police Department until adopted. It is the policy of Hill County Paw Pals that all adopted pets will be sterilized before being adopted.
    • A $65 adoption fee will be required to help cover the cost of sterilization and vaccinations.

  2. Need assistance in our growing adoption program. Need more volunteers that will assist with temperament testing of impounded dogs. Each week adoptable dogs are being euthanized in the Hillsboro's impoundment facility because of having to make space for others.
